My feelings exactly

“Afraid of death? Not at all. Be a great relief. Then I wouldn’t have to talk to you.” — Katharine Hepburn (1907-2003), actor.

Sounds about right...

"We’ll have a military dictatorship fairly soon, on the basis that nobody else can hold everything together. Obama would have been better off focusing on educating the American people. His problem is being over-educated. He doesn’t realize how dim-witted and ignorant his audience is. Benjamin Franklin said that the system would fail because of the corruption of the people and that happened under Bush. Don’t ever make the mistake with people like me thinking we are looking for heroes. There aren’t any and if there were, they would be killed immediately. I’m never surprised by bad behavior. I expect it." - Gore Vidal

The Most Trusted Man In America

Walter Cronkite 1916-2009

He told us what happened and not his opinions about what happened.

We trusted what he said because he just stated the facts with no spin.

I miss that.

LIAR

Obama's highest-ranking gay official, John Berry, says DOMA and the military gay ban currently have no chance of being repealed.

Last week, the Justice Department defended DOMA. Obama's administration invoked incest and child marriage while defending the brief.

They essentially declared gay rights less important that black rights, on the anniversary of Loving v Virginia which struck down laws against interracial marriage in the state.

More lies

By Bill Dedman
Investigative reporter
msnbc.com

The Obama administration is fighting to block access to names of visitors to the White House, taking up the Bush administration argument that a president doesn't have to reveal who comes calling to influence policy decisions.

Despite President Barack Obama's pledge to introduce a new era of transparency to Washington, and despite two rulings by a federal judge that the records are public, the Secret Service has denied msnbc.com's request for the names of all White House visitors from Jan. 20 to the present.
